I’m back and mad as hell. Okay, not that mad. I’m logging tapes for the Elias video, which is a lot of work but I’m not letting it get me down.
In awesome news, I met with Rose, my new producer for my film. I’m going to be volunteering at the school a little so I can get some good equipment access. Basically I’ve had the fire relit under my ass. So today I went to Barnes and Noble and camped out for a few hours rewritting my script. I think it’s going to be really awesome now. I took out some of the wordiness and added 150% more smoochin’. The script now has Big Red soda, hate of John Mellencamp, and the characters are pretty fun to watch now. So, hopefully my changes will meet with producer and actor approval.
Here’s hoping. Back to work.

April came by and looked at the cut. There is a lot she wants adjusted which is par for the course I suppose. A bunch of the takes are being moved around and adjusted. The cut is beginning to feel better.
The Fisherman rough cut is done. Beginning, Middle, and End. Now it’ll be up to the director to come in and tell me what to cut or not to cut. Shoo.
Okay, here’s the update. I got the opening scene done, the end scene is done, and the mid section is 3/4 of the way done. I have to complete a rough edit of the rest by 5:00 today or earlier. Should be okay.
I also completed a short promo for another project. I was contacted to edit a short montage of fofotage from a future documentary about a group of young men that went to Africa inspired by the Dispatch song, “Elias” in order to find the man the song was based on. They managed to get involved in more of Africa’s plight while they were there so the future documentary should have a lot of drama and interest. I might post it later depending on if I can.
Completed opening scene, last scene, and second scene rough cut.
Also went to “Mrs. Henderson Presents” a Stephen Frears movie. He was present and did a Q & A session.
