Different stages of this matte composite. I’m not an artist. This is painful.

This is the first shot completed using Camera Mapping. It’s a little janky, but it’s on camera for a really short period of time and it stands up during those 30 frames.

It might not look like much, but it’s progress. If you look above the door you’ll see the wall continues off screen. That’s a texture sticking in place. Basically it a projected texture of the wall from later in the shot and it means that I will be able to use Photoshop to change the walls in certain scenes or separate out the geometry for liquid simulations.

I’m refreshing my Cinema 4D training. That’s why I’ve been quiet about new shots. Basically, I needed to get the 3D object manipulation features back into my head for the camera mapping that is coming.
Here are two test images, one showing how badly 3delight glitched an image and the other showing the basic render with Cinema4d’s advanced renderer.

Ugly? Yes. Practical application in training? Also, yes.
